WELCOME MESSAGE
Lesley Kirby-Klappholz

Welcome to Kingsley Academy - I am delighted that you have shown an interest in us.

Our vision - an ambitious academy promoting academic, cultural and social success for all - is fast being realised and our website shows visitors just some of the successes and activities Kingsley students experience.

As Principal, I am truly privileged to lead a dedicated and determined staff who are committed to improving all aspects of your child’s education.  We do this by getting to know your child extremely well, treating them as the unique individual that they are: easier to do in a smaller and close-knit community, such as you will find in Kingsley Academy. The welfare, happiness and academic progress of your child is our first priority. We secure this through very good teaching, our aims and our plans, and by instilling in our students our values and expectations regarding behaviour and attitudes to learning.

At Kingsley Academy, we believe in the power of education to transform lives and we also believe that every child has fantastic potential and can achieve. We seek to work collectively as a whole school community to support, educate and nurture each young person who joins the academy as they make the journey towards young adulthood.  We will also support each other and work together with our partners and sponsor to learn and use the very best practices which will support our students in achieving our aims.

Choosing a secondary school is an extremely important decision and we strongly recommend that you visit us and see what we have to offer. By visiting us, you will have an opportunity to meet students and staff and to get a feel of our lively and vibrant atmosphere via a tour.  We are keen to show off our  £30 million brand new building which includes dedicated specialist areas (music, drama, technology, ICT for example), a wonderful sports hall and, as of 2018, landscaped grounds. Our learning technologies represent the cutting edge of education and make the classes exciting and engaging for students and staff alike.

If you wish to see the academy in action during the school day please make an appointment by contacting my PA, Julie Traynor on 020 8572 4461.

Regards
