As part of the programme of enrichment offered to Kingsley Academy students in KS5, John Levy from the Friends of Israel (FOI) came to hold a lecture and discussion with students about the current situation in the Middle East. His lecture included information relevant to many students' A-level subjects, from geography and sociology to history and business.  Students were encouraged to ask questions which included 'What is your view on the Palestinian and Israeli conflict?' and 'Was Britain right to be involved in the Libyan conflict?'
Students said:
"It was really insightful to listen to another point of view and to get more information on such a complicated situation." - Mahad 13P
"It was very interesting. It has helped expand my general knowledge on the topic and has given me real life examples I can use in my upcoming sociology and citizenship exams." -  Pooja 13Q
