Primary pupils from Years 4 - 6 in eight Hounslow  schools participated in the best Bake Off ever! This annual event takes place each Autumn term, with eliminating heats being run in the primaries (making cup cakes and a Victoria sponge), before the grand finale at Kingsley Academy - with the added bonus this year of using our brand new kitchens and, for some, a quick tour of the new building. The judges - Mr Sadhra and Ms Kirby - both described the baking as sensational, and were not surprised, when comparing marks, to find that there were only 3 marks between the whole group. Winner of the best decorated cake was Athena from Spring Grove, winner of the cake with the best 'crumb' was Abdul from Chatsworth (#@chatsworthpri), and best overall winner was Saffron from Hounslow Town with her subtle and delicious lemon cake, decorated with her own home-made fondant icing.  Congratulations to all the finalists: in addition to these three, we also enjoyed the creations of Zahra from Alexandra, Mali from Worple Road, Evelyn from Smallberry Green, Alice from Isleworth Town and Parnian from Ivybridge.  We wait to see if any of our winners appear on national TV in 20 years time!
