Kingsley Rocks

Kingsley Rocks!

On the 24th March the first ever showcase was held for Band Academy in front of a very appreciative audience. Run by Dave Longman and Adam Flanagan of Hounslow Music Service, students from across the borough meet every Monday from 4-5pm and learn to play arrangements of old and new pop and rock classics. This was their first public performance.

Students from the Academy have formed two bands, whilst students from other Hounslow schools also have a band and all three performed brilliantly. All of our “rockers” are current Year 11 or 10 GCSE Music students and recordings were made of their performances which will be used for their final GCSE ensemble coursework submissions.

KA students involved were:

 Anusha Gurung (keyboards)
 Rien Khandaker Nusrat (drums)
 Anisha Limbu (bass guitar)
 Clive Vijayaram (drums)
 Sarina Angdembe (electric guitar)
 Cryzynty Fernandes (vocals)
 Larrissa Simon (vocals).

We are really proud of their hard work and achievement and eagerly looking forward to the next opportunity to hear them ROCK! (If you want a listen, have a look at the attached audio files at foot of page)
