On Tuesday 26th April, five Year 10 girls taking part in the TalentED Programme participated in the National Final, organised by CHI & Partners advertising agency.

Trudy Tucker, Nishika Mehta, Alexandra Riberio Santos, Ocean Pun and Clida Coutinho were initially tasked with putting together an advertising campaign for Coutts Bank, one of the oldest banks in the world, designed to encourage young entrepreneurs to invest in the bank.

Four schools and colleges participated in the project with ages ranging between 14 to 19, Kingsley students being the youngest there.

Our students presented their campaign to a panel of judges which included a representative from Coutts Bank. Even though they had a slight technical hitch at the beginning, they were not deterred. They had written a script to use alongside the presentation and the girls personalities shone through, making their presentation stand out from all of the others. They faced questions from the judges once they had given their presentation.

After an agonising 45-minute wait while the judges deliberated, we were very proud to hear that our Kingsley Academy girls were named the winners! The girls were presented with certificates and Amazon gift vouchers, as well as a tour of CHI.
