Year 11
KEY STAGE 4
Head of Year 11 : Mr Pitts
I am delighted to take up this opportunity to both welcome and get acquainted with your child as Year 11 marks the last stage in Key Stage 4. A crucial point in their journey and it is incredible to think that we only have two terms and a few weeks left before the GCSE exams start in May 2024.
I look forward to working closely with you, and I, along with my experienced and dedicated Pastoral team at Kingsley Academy will do everything to support your child in achieving their potential. This will include targeted careers support, intervention sessions and study skills guidance, all included within our extensive tutor time and enrichment programmes.
As a year team we have always appreciated the fantastic support from parents and carers, and we view attendance very seriously at Kingsley Academy. Excellent attendance and punctuality increases your child’s chance of success and allows them to be fully involved in school life. All students should have an attendance of over 98% and if it drops below this we will contact you to support you and your child in improving this level.
If you do have any questions or queries relating to your child, please feel free to get in touch and I would be delighted to assist you.
Best regards,
Mr Pitts

School Uniform
School uniform and a smart appearance are very important to Kingsley Academy. Uniform identifies our students and we want them to take pride in it. It is important therefore that parents/carers and students understand the following information :
Between leaving home in the morning and arriving back in the afternoon, students are expected to wear their FULL school uniform.
Students should also remember that while in Kingsley Academy’s uniform they are representing the school.
Please visit School Uniform & Equipment for Learning for more information.
