Course Requirements
  • 5 A*-C GCSE passes in English and Maths, preferably including Business Studies 
  • Interests in economic and business news, advertising, accounting and ICT
Course Outline
    The course aims to develop a practical understanding of concepts, theories and methods, applying, analysing and evaluating a business organisation. 

    AS Level Business Studies Applied 
    Unit 1 Investigating a Business (Portfolio 70 marks)
    Unit 2 People in Business (Portfolio 70 marks)
    Unit 3 Financial (External Exam 1hr 60 marks)
    Unit 8 Business Planning (Portfolio 70 marks)

    A2 Level Business Studies Applied
    Unit 10 Promotional Activities (Portfolio 70 marks)
    Unit 12 Managing  People (External Exam 1hr 60 marks)

    How the Course is Assessed
      A mixture of annotated coursework, both tutor-lead and self-directed, as well as externally-set assignments. These take the form of research on a brief, theme or topic, leading to experimentation.
