Why study Mathematics?

The Edexcel BTEC Level 3 Subsidiary Diploma in IT is a 60-credit and 360-guided-learning-hour (GLH) qualification that consists of two mandatory units plus optional units that provide for a combined total of 60 credits (where at least 45 credits must be at level 3 or above).

5A* - C, including English Language
A*-B in Maths Higher Tier (Set 1)

    A2 Units: 
    • Core 3 (Pure Mathematics)
    • Core 4 (Pure Mathematics)
    • Statistics 2

    How the Course is Assessed

    Topic-based internal assessments throughout the course of the year
    External Examinations (May – June
    )

    • AS units – C1, C2 and S1
    • A2 units – C3, C4 and S2
    Each Unit carries equal weighting.
