Student Careers
Welcome to the Student Careers pages at Kingsley Academy.

At Kingsley Academy we are committed to providing our students with a comprehensive programme of careers education, information, advice and guidance (CEIAG) for all students in years 7 – 13.  It is important to us that our students are able to receive the guidance they need to make sensible choices as the move through each stage of their education and onto their chosen career.

The department is run by a dedicated team of professionals who have extensive experience of supporting students through key transitions.

We endeavours to follow the National Framework for Careers and Work Related Education (2012) and other relevant guidance from the Department of Education and Ofsted.

Careers and work related education is an important part of the wider curriculum that we offer within the academy to our students. We believe that every individual should be prepared for the opportunities, responsibilities and experiences of adult life, and that this preparation should be an important and distinctive element of the curriculum.

Alongside the support of our Careers Co-ordinator, parents and carers also have a responsibility to support their child. You as a parent should have an active role in exploring options and choices, as this will impact on the rest of your child’s life.
We are enthusiastic to engage with businesses and organisations to enhance our careers education programme for our students.  Another important element for our students is the access to independent and impartial advice and guidance, which supports them in broadening their horizons and reaching their own careers aspirations.

We have created a frequently asked question section (FAQ), which poses questions that have been asked to our careers and operational team over the years.

Below is an overview of CEIAG:
