“The essence of mathematics is not to make simple things complicated, but to make complicated things simple.”
S. Gudder - American mathematician.

The Maths Club is held on Tuesdays from 3:15 pm to 4:00 pm in Room 302. The club, which is run by Mr. Nkongho, is currently open to Year 7 students, however, there are opportunities for other students who are keen to improve their mathematical skills, to participate.

The aim of the club is to inspire children to engage with maths by making it fun. Students can decide what type of maths activity they would like to do in addition to the weekly diet of three main activities, namely:

  • UKMT Junior Mathematics Challenge
  • Timetables Rock Stars
  • Music Mathematics Activities

Students choose to work in teams to help each other solve challenging mathematical puzzles.

The club helps children to prepare for TTRockstars Timetable Challenge and the UKMT Junior Mathematics Challenge which will take place in the New Year.
At the Mathematics Club, we make complicated things really simple. Join us, in Room 302 every Tuesday at 3.15pm.
